SYNOPSIS: Mary Baker Eddy asks: Is the universe, including man, evolved by atomic force? She answers:
"The universe, including man, is not a result of atomic action, material force or energy; it is not organized dust" (Mis. 23:20).
"We tread on forces … Human knowledge calls them forces of matter; but divine Science declares that they belong wholly to divine Mind, are inherent in this Mind, and so restores them to their rightful home and classification" (S&H 124:26–31).
