SYNOPSIS: This class presents and in-depth examination of the Word-order of the 7 synonyms for God. Max Kappeler states in his book The Seven Synonyms for God, p. 140: "What is the Word of God? John begins his gospel: 'In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God' (John 1:1,2). The Word of God stands for God's self-declaration. Being reveals itself to the seeker as 'the nature, essence and wholeness of Deity' (S&H 465:13). It defines what God is. The Textbook defines God through the 7 synonymous terms, and in the specific order of: 'Mind, Spirit, Soul, Principle, Life, Truth, Love' (S&H 465:10). Thus we can call this particular order of the synonymous terms the Word-order. Through this order, God declares itself to be what it is. God says: I am Mind, I am Spirit, I am Soul, I am Principle, I am Life, I am Truth, I am Love."

Ideas illustrate creative order
All things come into being through the Word of God. Everything reveals the creative nature of Being and manifests the irresistible order of its creative unfoldment.
- Mind, creator, source, cause, manifests only as ideas
- Spirit births ideas and unfolds them in ordered development
- Soul identifies ideas and keeps them intact, unchanged
- Principle unites ideas in a coherent system and interprets them through categories
- Life sustains ideas, supplying them with newness of Life, multiplying them
- Truth affirms all ideas in divine consciousness, sets the standard, giving dominion
- Love fulfills all ideas in the plan of Love
The Word-order expressed differently according to different standpoints
The qualities and attributes of the 7 synonyms of the Word-order are accentuated and can be seen in the Bible and the Christian Science Textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. The tonality of the 7 synonyms for God is accentuated by different ideas.
